Adult and Dislocated Worker Program
ADULT AND DISLOCATED WORKER PROGRAM
The Adult and Dislocated Worker Program is administered through the Workforce Investment Act, or WIA. WIA is federal legislation designed to prepare youth and unskilled adults for entry into the labor force and to afford job training to economically disadvantaged individuals and other individuals facing serious barriers to employment.
Through this program eligible participants can receive job search assistance, skill assessments, skills training, transporation, childcare and many other services that will lead them to gainful employment.
In Kansas, SER runs this program through their Great Bend and Hays workforce center locations.
