Citizenship Classes

Citizenship Classes prepare people for the USCIS ("Immigration") Citizenship exam. Most classes take place after 5pm and last between 8-10 weeks. The cost is $75 dollars. The $75 fee includes N-400 preparation, a handbook of citizenship and community information, a book, practice CD and other instructional materials. In the future we will have Spanish-language citizenship classes for those who qualify. If you have any questions about the citizenship process or classes, please contact us at (316) 264-5372.

To Apply for Citizenship you need:

1) 5 years residency in the United States;
2) Read and Write English;
3) Pay the fee of $400 (beginning July 30th it will be $675);
4) two passport-style photos (available at most drug stores and the post office).

To take the Citizenship Test in Spanish you must:

1) Be at least 55 years old;
2) Have been a US Resident for at least 20 years.

Rent Smart
Beginning in September SER will once again be holding Rent Smart classes for the public in English and Spanish. These classes teach the rights and responsibilities of being a renter as well as how to transition to owning your own home. Please contact (316) 264-5372 for more information.

Amigos de SER
The Wichita "Amigosde SER" is an organization of business and professional people working together to help the Kansas SER Corporation carry out its mission of training and job placement for the socially, economically and academically disadvantaged. This organization was founded in 1975.

Amigos de SER Scholarship Program
As a result of fundraising activities and donations from community businesses and organizations, a scholarship fund has been established by the Wichita Amigos de SER. College scholarships are awarded to deserving Hispanic students.
